Frequently Asked Questions

Everything you want to know before you reach out. If something isn't covered here, fill out the form and I'll get back to you the same day.

Do I need to be home during the job?

No. Most customers aren't home when I work and that's completely fine. I'll let you know when I'm on my way and send a message when the job is done. If I find anything worth your attention, I'll reach out directly.

How does pricing work?

Fill out the quick form on the site and I'll send you a detailed estimate the same day. Every property is different; Size, condition, and what it needs all factor in. No guessing, no surprises.

Are there any extra charges?

What's in your estimate is what you pay. If I find something during the job that changes the scope, I'll contact you before doing anything additional. You won't get an invoice that looks different from what you agreed to.

How soon can I get scheduled?

Once you accept the estimate we'll find a day that works for your schedule. Turnaround depends on the time of year but I'll always give you a realistic timeframe upfront.

Is soft washing safe for my roof and siding?

Yes. Soft washing uses low pressure and the right cleaning solution for the surface. It removes algae, moss, and buildup without damaging shingles, siding, or finishes. It's the correct method. High pressure on a roof causes damage.

How often should I have my roof and gutters cleaned?

Roofs in Sullivan County typically need attention every 2-3 years depending on tree cover and exposure. Gutters should be cleaned at least twice a year, spring and fall. If you have heavy tree cover, more often.

What areas do you serve?

Sullivan County, NY is the primary service area: Including Monticello, Liberty, Livingston Manor, White Lake, Neversink, Rockhill, and surrounding communities. I also serve parts of Ulster, Orange, and Delaware counties in NY and Wayne County, PA. Not sure if you're in range? Fill out the form and I'll let you know.

Will you damage my plants or landscaping?

No. I take precautions with any plantings near the work area. Wetting them down before and rinsing after where needed. If there's anything specific on your property you're concerned about, mention it when you reach out and I'll account for it.

What if it rains on the day of my appointment?

Light rain usually isn't an issue for most services. If conditions aren't right to do the job properly I'll reach out to reschedule. The work doesn't go out unless it's done right.

How long does a job take?

Depends on the service and the size of the property. A gutter cleaning on an average home takes 1-2 hours. A roof wash typically runs 2-3 hours. A full house wash varies by size. I'll give you a realistic time estimate when I send your quote.

Who actually does the work?

I do. Every job, every time. Solo Solutions is family-operated: My wife handles scheduling and communication, and I lead every job personally. On larger jobs I may have a helping hand, but I'm always on site and in charge. You're not getting a crew of strangers or someone sent in my place. You're getting the owner.

Still have a question?
